Whoa! What’s wrong with THIS? I’m no electrician, but this electrical outlet situation isn’t up to par. Quirky do-it-yourself jobs are pretty common when looking at foreclosed properties. Buyers new to the foreclosure scene can count on things like this being part of the AS-IS deal. Especially when negotiating with a bank or asset management company. (as opposed to a traditional seller/human being with real feelings and logic.)
Hundreds of Realtors are doing OPEN HOUSES all over the country today. The National Association of Realtors has declared it, National Open House WEEKEND, so take advantage!
Stop by MY open house in the heard of WATERVILLE, OHIO! From 2-4, you can come by and see this historical home right out of the Sears Catalogue from 1910. There might be treats. Plus, it’s worth it just to see this mighty fine lookin’ STAIRCASE. Here’s a flyer! 138 N. Second FLYER
So, it IS true. Not all firms ARE alike. At RE/MAX Preferred in Toledo, OH, the number of closed transactions PER AGENT is among the top in the country. I’m really proud to be part of such a firm. Some firms have agents who do a couple deals a year on the side of their full-time jobs. Agents here are HARD CORE!
Real Trends ranked the top 50 firms. We’re number 31. Not bad. (Oh, and of the top 50 real estate companies, 38 of them are RE/MAX firms. 76 percent of them.) *Like! Click below for the ranking list!
Don’t forget the closing costs!
If you’re a seller, make sure you consider closing costs — and not just YOUR closing costs. Buyers will ask you to pay THEIRS, too. I’m attaching a document to help Seller’s calculate their closing costs. (closing costs SELLER) Now. for buyers, depending on your type of loan, a seller can contribute up to 3 or 6 percent towards your closing costs. For an idea of what you’ll need to pay, here’s a list for buyers (closing costs BUYER)

Congrats Jeremy and Michelle!
Finding quirky things makes me happy
When showing houses, you never know what quirky things you might find. I enjoy taking pictures of such quirky things and posting them to a blog, twitter or my facebook page, much like I’m doing now. Sometimes it’s the little things. Like the bear toilet paper holder that might sway you to buy the house. Just ask your Realtor to add it into the contract. See, it’s all in the details.
What quirky things have YOU seen lately? :)
